Police Checks
If you are working in the UK or are planning on working here in the near future, you will require a disclosure. As a healthcare professional, you will need an "Enhanced Disclosure".
If you plan on working through our service, or if you take up a job offered to you by one of our clients, Health Professionals will take care of this procedure and talk you through what you need to do.

-- The term 'Police Check' is now obsolete in the UK. Many people might still use that terminology but the correct term is ' Disclosure '.
-- You cannot obtain a Disclosure without going to a Registered Body who also receives a copy of the Disclosure. Health Professionals is a Registered Body for the purposes of obtaining disclosures.
-- Health Professionals will advise on the full impact and requirements of this legislation and organises disclosures for both our permanent and temporary staff.
-- Everyone is required to have a disclosure completed. Even if you have never lived or worked in the UK, you will have to obtain a disclosure on arrival.
--An Enhanced Disclosure will apply to all nursing positions and other positions where access to children exists.
-- A disclosure can ONLY be obtained through a Registered Body to the CRB, and not by individuals.
Overseas Applicants
-- You are required to obtain a police check in your country of residence
-- Health Professionals will advise you on the exact procedure once you are ready to travel
-- Once you are within the UK, a disclosure should be applied for
-- It will be possible to start work before the disclosure is completed
-- Health Professionals will advise on all individual cases
